Edit a department

  1. Go to Configuration > AdministrationOrganizational Hierarchy.
  2. Select a department entry from the department grid.
  3. Change the information in the fields as necessary.
  4. Click Apply. A confirmation message appears.
  5. Enter a Reason, Due Date and Comments.

    Note: If the reason is Relocation, then a Due Date is required to be entered.

    Note: The confirmation step required prior to final execution of the changes was done specifically to create a permanent log and trail of departmental changes. Where the name has changed, it will allow users to search for departments by their previous names and was done to permit greater convenience for users.

  6. Click Apply.
